History

Past Edit

Jinpachi is the father of Heihachi Mishima and the founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu. He is also friends with Wang Jinrei and a respected martial arts master. However, Jinpachi's life takes a turn for the worse when the greedy Heihachi stages a coup d'etat and steals the company from him. Jinpachi attempts to retake the company when Heihachi enters the military industry, but fails and is imprisoned underneath a Mishima compound, Honmaru. Sometime later, he dies of starvation, until he is resurrected by a mysterious entity.

Tekken 5 Edit

Having been taken over by a vengeful spirit and granted incredible supernatural powers, Jinpachi breaks out of Honmaru when the compound is destroyed during a battle between Heihachi, Kazuya and an army of Jack-4s sent to kill Kazuya. With the news of Heihachi's apparent demise, Jinpachi takes over the company from behind the scenes and organizes the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 in the hopes that someone will kill him before the spirit takes him over completely (to the point that he writes to Wang, asking him to compete and put an end to the Mishima bloodline which has been cursed by Heihachi's greedy ambitions).

In the tournament final, Jinpachi is confronted by his great-grandson, Jin Kazama, who defeats Jinpachi in mortal combat and puts him to rest at last.

Appearances in the Comic

His Ressurection & becoming the New King of New Mobotropolis

He's been revived & he wants revenge on an Old Friend before Wang Jinrei, so Jinpachi starts on his journey to New Mobotropolis. Jinpachi is stopped by two guards guarding the front door, but Jinpachi knocked them out easily & enters the city. Now Jinpachi is destroying Buildings in his path saying that he's more bigger, faster, stronger & more cunning. He heads up the stairs to the Castle of Acorns, defeating the Guards in the process & enters inside only to be seen by about 50 Soldiers of the Castle of Acorn. The soldiers have tried to stop Jinpachi, but failed when Jinpachi defeats all of them, one by one. Finally Jinpachi enters into the Throne going face to face with the New King: Ixis Naugas. Jinpachi said to Ixis Naugas that his vengence will be his as he transforms into his Devil Form with his Skin turning Purple, his muscles grows bigger & stronger, Spikes growing out of his back pointing upwards, his eyes turn red, Blades growing on his Forearms & another mouth with Sharp Teeth starts appearing on his Stomach. Ixis Naugas notices that Jinpachi is the founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu, only to be answered by Jinpachi saying that he lost the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 to his Great Grandson: Jin Kazama. Jinpachi challenges Ixis Naugas to be the King of New Mobotropolis & Ixis Naugas accepts the challenge. The two fighters Jinpachi & Ixis Naugas engaged in a battle & Jinpachi have won the battle against Ixis Naugas. Jinpachi tells Ixis Naugas that the Mishima Bloodline Curse has begun & Jinpachi also said that all of Mobius including the Villains will all end up as Devils with him, as he puts on the King's Crown declaring himself King of New Mobotropolis & laughs in Triumph over Ixis Naugas. (S100#1)

Later at Castle Acorn, Jinpachi watches the All Star Freedom Fighter's Victory against Dr. EggPlankton, Jack-4 Commander & the EggPlankton Empire with an evil grin on his face, thinking that he can use his Royalty to the people of New Mobotropolis as an Advantage soon. (S100#3)

Abilities

Jinpachi uses an array of unblockable moves in Tekken 5. One of his unblockable attacks is a fireball that Jinpachi fires from the mouth in his abdomen. Jinpachi will usually fire only one fireball, but he can fire two or more if his opponent is close enough to him. The fireball(s) are best avoided by sidestepping or by laying down on the ground, but can be evaded by other means. He is also able to disrupt an opponent by using a move that stuns their motion, regardless of the opponent being on the ground or airborne. This move leaves the opponent open to any attack Jinpachi decides to throw at them. Jinpachi also has a move in which he absorbs a small part of his opponent's health. Also, after his opponent is launched, he can strike with three Electric Wind Godfists.

Trivia Edit

  • Despite first appearing in Tekken 5, he did not become a playable character until the PS3 port of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection.
  • Jinpachi was close to his grandson Kazuya, when the boy was a child. This is possibly another reason Heihachi resented Jinpachi so much.
  • His appearance closely resembles that of Gouken from the Street Fighter series.
  • In Tekken Tag 2, Jinpachi's in-game voice still the same from before, although some of his animations has been revamped such the projectile is no longer from his stomach, now utilized an original Hadouken alike projectile. It might be possible that Jinpachi is now a demi-god in the game.
  • His appearance also closely resembles to Whitebeard a.k.a Edward Newgate from the Anime One Piece, mostly his moustache.
